Who Can Apply?
We accept applications from freshmen and sophomores. In exceptional cases we have considered juniors, but only after the applicant has been pre-approved by our executive team. See our contact page if you have questions.
Do I need previous consulting or business experience?
We do not expect candidates to have previous experience in or knowledge of either consulting or international development. However, we look for business acumen, curiosity, and an interest in international development during the application process.
What does the application process entail?
At the beginning of each semester we host an information session for all interested candidates. Attendance is not mandatory, but highly encouraged. It is unsurprising that successful applicants during interviews tend to have gone to our information session and spoken to current GGC members, which offers them insight into what our work consists of.
The application process is two-part. The first is a series of written questions, answered through an online form. The second is an in-person interview that will test candidates' interest-level, skills and experiences through a behavioral interview and a development consulting case.
All accepted candidates must attend the subsequent training session at the end of the week.
How competitive is the application process?
We receive far more applications than we can possibly hope to accept, and frequently have to turn down highly qualified applicants. We highly encourage candidates to apply again, and carefully take into account when people do so.
